Cars & Kids is rolling back into South Shores!
Bring the whole family for a night of building, designing, racing, dinner, and plenty of cheering.
Each racer will get a pre-cut Pinewood Derby car to assemble
and make their own before putting it to the test on our four-lane track.

How Cars & Kids Works
Cars are built onsite during the event. Racers will move through a series of stations to get their car ready:
  • Build + Design
    • Assemble and decorate your pre-cut car.
  • Wheel Shop
    • Install wheels and axles with help from our Pit Crew.
  • Test + Tune
    • Make sure your car rolls smoothly and is ready for inspection.
  • Inspection + Impound
    • Once your car passes inspection, it stays with the Race Crew until racing begins.
  • Race!
    • Every car will get multiple trips down our four-lane track.
Important
Please do not bring a completed Pinewood Derby car from home.
All cars must be assembled and decorated onsite using the car kit provided at Cars & Kids.
Families should arrive at 5:00 PM so racers have enough time to complete their cars before inspection closes and racing begins.
Race Night Schedule
5:00 PM — Check-In + Build Begins
Grab your car kit, dinner, and start designing and building.

5:40 PM — Inspection Opens
Finished cars can begin heading through inspection and into impound.

6:10 PM — Cars Due in Impound
All cars must be completed and checked in for racing.

6:15 PM — Racing Begins 🏁
Cheer on the racers as Cars & Kids hits the track!

7:15 PM — Finals + Awards 🏆

7:30 PM — Event Ends
