Live Like Every Day is Easter

Apr 5, 2026    Pastor Ty Guy

This Easter message challenges us to examine the fruit of our lives through the lens of Christ's resurrection power. Drawing from Luke 6's Sermon on the Plain, we're confronted with a penetrating question: what kind of fruit are we producing? Just as a good tree bears good fruit and a bad tree bears bad fruit, our words, reactions, and choices under pressure reveal what's truly inside our hearts. The resurrection isn't just something that happened to Jesus—it's something Jesus did for us, transforming us from the inside out. When we're grafted into Christ as our root, the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—begins to grow in us naturally. This message reminds us that we can't produce sweet fruit through our own strength; we need God's Spirit flowing through us. The challenge becomes deeply personal: when we're squeezed by life's pressures, what comes out? Are our words sweet or bitter? Do we love like Jesus even when it's costly, forgiving those who've hurt us and blessing those who curse us? The resurrection power that rolled away the stone can transform our hearts, restore our relationships, and make us new—but only if we stay connected to the vine.
