Patience

What does it really mean to be patient? Not just gritting our teeth and enduring a frustrating moment, but cultivating a deep, Spirit-driven confidence that trusts God's purposes even when life feels completely out of our control. This message takes us into the heart of patience as a fruit of the Spirit, revealing that true Christian patience is not a personality trait or a high pain threshold -- it is an enduring confidence in Christ that rests in his good purposes even amid difficulty. We explore how our culture has been engineered for instant gratification, wiring us to resist the very thing God calls us to grow in. Drawing from 2 Peter 3:8, we are reminded that God does not experience time the way we do, and his timing -- though it may feel slow to us -- is always purposeful and perfect. Just as the apostle Paul wrote half of the New Testament while under house arrest, our seasons of waiting are rarely wasted. God is often doing his greatest work in us precisely when we feel most stuck. The invitation here is not to dread patience but to embrace it as a window into the character of a God who has been extraordinarily patient with each of us.
